The SUM-ASM131x Series Provides utilities with a reliable solid state single phase meter that can be easily adapted for various advanced metering technologies and applications. The ASM 131x series is designed for residential and low end commercial markets. The ASM 131x series meters with Advance Metering Capabilities helps utilities with high precision and automate meter read with less hassle to manage the whole distribution network.

Adya Smart Utility Manger (SUM) is the head-end system of Adya Utility Management Software Suite and is the integration point between the low stream metering end points and high stream Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS). The Smart Utility Manager (SUM) is designed to handle all the communication networks, Metering end points supported by Adya with aim of high interoperability and hassle free integration. Adya SUM is developed with fundamentals based on a flexible and future-oriented architecture that makes it easy to add new features and adapt it to new operating platforms. Adya SUM can support both new and existing communication networks making it feasible for existing customers to continue using their current meters and communication network and at the same time start taking advantage of future advanced communication network.

A strong integration platform based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) enables easy integration and fast data exchange between SUM-MDMS and business systems such as billing systems and management systems like outage management, peak load management.

Communication networks is backbone in Advance metering infrastructure (AMI). With its strong Research and Development expertise. Adya developed a state of the art Hybrid solution which supports Multi-energy metering, personal energy management equipment and distribution automation applications. Adya RF Solutions can support both on demand meter reads and scheduled interval reads collection, load management, Home area networking and outage management applications.

Data Consentrator Unit (DCU)

Adya’s Smart Hub (SH1000) data concentrator is built on Hybrid Communication and forms a very critical component in the Smart Metering solution. Smart Hub handles the WAN, LAN and HAN connectivity to meters. It gives the Utility the option of choosing the communications channel. The device helps in routing the data from the Energy Meter to the utility command center.

Remote Terminal Unit

One of the major bottlenecks for Smart Metering rollouts is the reliability, scalability and the cost-effectiveness of the communication networks. Meter Communication units (RTU) plays a critical roles in addressing the communication demands by enabling high availability and reliability of the system.

SHP800, ingeniously designed and developed by ADYA to address the core issues relating to communication. The Meter Communication Unit is RF based modem, which is connected to energy meter. Each RTU acts as transmitting device and connects to the neighboring Energy Meter fitted with Meter Communication Unit and forms a Mesh Network. The mesh can be in a group of 50 to 5000 meters based on the network topology and the frequency of the parameters to be gathered. It transmits the data seamlessly and without any data loss to the Data Concentrator Unit (DCU).

The Meter Communication Unit transforms a compliant Energy Meter into Smart Energy Meter and enables Bi-directional data flow. This acts as a bridge between the Energy Meter and the Data Concentrator Unit (DCU). The Meter Communication Unit helps in capturing meter data, data for Billing, Outage Management, Instantaneous Parameters, outage and tamper Alerts.

Meter Communication Unit - Cellular

Meter Communication Unit - Cellular are developed to address the situation where the customers are located remotely and in isolation from the existing communication networks.

Adya’s Meter Communication Unit - Cellular is designed and developed to address requirements of residential and C&I applications, Adya’s cellular communication module is enabled by an advanced communication module for data collection and network communications using existing cellular data networks. The cellular module works in conjunction with an advanced electric meter to become an intelligent client to Adya’s Head- End System or other head-end systems.

The DLMS-compliant cellular module supports all standard metering functions and acts as the database for the integrated device by storing metering data in DLMS tables, executing scheduled tasks, and monitoring for power outages or other alarm conditions.
